- laminate flooring.
It reduces the footfall sound.
TARBICOL PU CORDON can be used for bonding onto all types of substrates such as concrete screeds, cement/sand screeds, flooring grade plywood and particle board, ceramic tiles, anhydrite screeds.
For parquet on underfloor heating use our 1-part polyurethane notched-applied adhesive.

PREPARATION
Preparation should be in accordance with building standards. Subfloors must be sound, even, smooth, permanently dry and free from old adhesive residues, dust, grease or other contaminants.
When overlaying existing floor coverings ensure that they are firmly bonded and clean.
Remove dirt, polish, oil and similar contaminating substances.
When further preparation of the subfloor is required, select suitable Bostik primers and Bostik smoothing and levelling compounds.
All surfaces must incorporate adequate damp proofing, if not, they should be primed with Eponal 336 Moisture Vapour Barrier coating.
Always allow primers and underlayment to dry thoroughly before applying the adhesive.
APPLICATION
Pierce the seal on the top of the cartridge, screw on the plastic nozzle and cut the nozzle to provide a suitable bead diameter (approx. 3 to 5 mm) according to substrate roughness. Take off the inner seal from the bottom of the cartridge and place it into the caulking gun. Extrude a continuous bead for lengthwise elements (strips, skirtings), or apply by spot for panels or small elements. Beat the pieces into place using a mallet or a hammer and a tapping block.
The elements have to be assembled within 20 minutes. Always observe the required working time.
Extrude beads by spacing them 10 to 15 cm apart according to parquet thickness, its type and manufacturer’s recommendations.
In case of notched-trowel application use notched trowel N°4.
Install the parquet flooring by 1 m² wide areas.
Leave the nozzle on the opened cartridge, to re-use it replace the nozzle.
Beat the floorboards in order to ensure the best possible adhesive transfer to the underside of the parquet.
Allow a gap of at least 8 mm along the perimeter of the walls. Gap dimensions: 0.15% of the largest dimensions of the area to be covered with flooring.
REMARKS
- Work in a dust-free environment.
- Degrease the oily timber (e.g. teak) with acetone.
- Store the parquet in a dry place.
Cleaning
Tools and spillages should be cleaned with acetone. Dry splashes can only be removed mechanically.
