ROXOL RENO QUICK

Fast-setting rapid repair mortar for smoothing floors and walls.

Uses

ROXOL RENO QUICK Rapid Repair Mortar is suitable for smoothing and levelling of screeds, concrete floors up to a maximum thickness of 50 mm in single work step.
For thickness higher than 50 mm, blend with 0.4 to 0.9 mm sharp sand.

Can be used for smoothing walls up to 5 mm thickness.

ROXOL RENO QUICK may be used for local repairs at thickness greater than 30 mm, e.g. filling holes, depressions and cracks; repairing stairs and landings, building up sloping surfaces.

It is recommended for heavy wear and suitable for normal wear. Suitable under parquet, carpeting, PVC coverings, linoleum and tiling.

Not to be used as a wearing surface.

For interior use only.

Safety:

IMPORTANT: before embarking on any work involving ROXOL RENO QUICK the separate Product Safety Data Sheet must be studied carefully by those carrying out the work. Do not breath dust, PREVENT skin and eye contact with powder and particularly the wet material when mixed. Strong alkali when wet – can cause serious eye damage and may cause an allergic reaction resulting in skin disorders.

Shelf life:

Up to 6 months in the original unopened bag stored between +10°C and +30°C.

Application

PREPARATION
Subfloors must be sound, of adequate tensile and compressive strength; free from laitance, cracks and structural defects; clean and free from dust, grease, curing compounds, sealers or any other contaminants that would inhibit proper bond.

Substrate residual moisture content must be less than 3%.
For anhydrite slabs, moisture content should be less than 1% for laying textile coverings and ceramic tiles, 0.5% for laying plastic coverings and parquet floors.

New asphalt screeds should be shot-blasted first.

Adhesive residues that are hard, sound and water-tight should be mechanically cut-back to a minimum. Soft and weak adhesive residues and smoothing underlayments should be completely removed.

Underfloor heating
Do not apply when underfloor heating is in operation. Turn off the heating 48 hours before starting the work.

The following substrates must be pre-treated with suitable Bostik primers and bonding agents:

PRECAUTION: Before using primer read the primer data sheet carefully and respect our recommendations for ground preparation.
Before proceeding with the subsequent application of the compound, always allow primers to dry in accordance with the technical information. Always allow at least 24 hours drying time for anhydrite screeds.

APPLICATION
Pour approx. 5-6 litres of clean water (water temperature +8° to +20°C) into a clean mixing bucket. Stir the compound powder into water with an electric drill and mixing paddle (<500 rpm) to obtain a lump-free mixture.
After mixing, a maturing time of at least 1 minute  is recommended to optimise flow. Remix for 30 seconds.
The compound must be applied to the substrate within the specified working time and smoothed with a stainless steel float. Spread the compound to zero in order to fill the pores, then smooth and spread in a regular manner to the desired thickness.

Unblended compound
Approx. 5-6 litres of water per 25 kg bag
Consumption: approx. 1.6 kg per m²/mm
Blended compound
Approx. 6 litres of water per 25 kg bag
+ 5-8 kg 0.4-0.9 mm sharp sand
Consumption: approx. 2 kg per m²/mm

CLEANING
Tools may be cleaned with water whilst the mix is still wet.
