DURCEL 54

Mortar for fixing wear and tear parts inside crushers

Uses

DURCEL 54 is a special bedding mortar for:

  • fixing wear and tear parts inside gyratory cone crushers
  • wedging, fixing, horizontal levelling of machinery and linear motors
  • rail bedding and alignment

Shelf life:

Up to 6 months stored upside down in dry and cool place at temperatures not exceeding +25°C. Keep the catalyst away from humidity and heat.

Application

PREPARATION
Dismantle used parts by oiling or greasing supporting frame of the crusher. Thoroughly clean the new parts and let them dry before fixing.
At temperatures below +10°C, use welding torch to warm the parts up to approx. +30°C.
DURCEL 54 is very fluid, thus it will fill all interstices and slots, therefore areas/gaps that should remain empty must be covered thoroughly.

APPLICATION
The mortar needs to be mixed in order to obtain homogeneous paste.
The pail being stored upside down, turn it right side up, remove possible deposit on walls and put into the pail, then mix with electric mixer (speed 1500 rpm).
Mixing time: 1-4 minutes.
Add the catalyst while mixing and continue mixing for 1 more minute.
Ideal mixing temperature is between +20 and +25°C.
Apply the blend immediately.
Pot life at 20°C: approx. 15-20 minutes.
 
Performances
According to EN 196-1 standard
At 20°C after complete curing:
  • Compressive strength - approx. 82 MPa
  • Flexural strength - approx. 37 MPa
 
Cleaning
Fresh spillages can be cleaned with SOLVANT AK.
