ADJUVANT FORCE 3

Additive to improve self-levelling compounds properties

Uses

Adjuvant Force 3 is an additive for self-levelling compounds.
It is suitable for modifying our smoothing compounds for moderate wear into hard wear compounds. 1 kg pouch is sufficient for 25 kg of compound. It changes the modulus of elasticity of smoothing underlayments and makes their use safer in difficult working conditions.
Red-coloured to provide visual control of its mixing into the compound prior to application to heavy-duty locations.
Suitable on concrete floors and other rigid bases, such as cement slabs, anhydrite screeds, ceramic tiles, old plastic flooring, parquet flooring, particleboard and plywood.
When used during hot weather, it increases self-smoothing capacities of underlayment and acts as a water-retaining agent thus preventing the underlayment from cracking.

Properties

- Working temperature : Preferably between +10°C and +25°C. Material and substrate temperature not below +10°C

Consumption:

1 pouch of additive per 25 kg of compound

Safety:

IMPORTANT: before embarking on any work involving Adjuvant Force 3 the separate Product Safety Data Sheet must be studied carefully by those carrying out the work.
PREVENT skin and eye contact. Do not breathe vapours. Avoid spillages.

Shelf life:

Can be stored for 12 months when kept in the original, unopened container, protected from frost and stored at +5°C and +30°C. Frost-sensitive.

Application

PREPARATION
Preparation should be in accordance with building standards. Subfloors must be sound, of adequate tensile and compressive strength; free from laitance, cracks and structural defects; clean and free from dust, grease, curing compounds, sealers or any other contaminants that would inhibit proper bond. Anhydrite screeds must first be mechanically sanded and thoroughly vacuumed; like wood substrates they must be treated with our solvent-based primer IMPREGLUE with several coats.
Adhesive residues that are hard, sound and water-tight should be mechanically cut-back to a minimum.
Soft and weak adhesive residues and smoothing underlayments should be completely removed.
 
APPLICATION
Pour approx 5.5 to 6 litres of clean water into a clean mixing bucket.
Stir the additive (1 kg of additive per 25 kg of compound) into water with an electric drill and mixing paddle (< 500 rpm).
Add gradually the 25 kg bag of compound into the admixture to obtain a lump-free mixture.
In hot weather the additive is incorporated using the above-described method, reduce by half a litre the quantity of water initially recommended on the packaging.
 
REMARKS
- Tightly close all containers after use.
 
Cleaning
Clean fresh splashes and tools with warm water.
